Her new solo album Crooked comes out in June, and on Thursday, June 3 she's doing a show at the Iron Horse in Northampton, MA. I saw her there in April of 2007 (it's a cool place; I caught the Hidden Cameras there last fall and Frank Black & the Catholics when they were touring for the Dog in the Sand LP- he started the show saying, "Let's break the ice with some Tom Waits" and they played a version of "The Black Rider" that was better than both Black Letter Days versions put together).
I met a guy from out of town and we got to talking. He bought me the first 50 Foot Wave EP and we went for drinks at a couple bars in town after the show. It was a really fun night.
I can't wait till June.
