Fast & the Furious: Tokyo Drift

Fast & the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006)

I understand. All they wanted was a bright, shiny PG-13 movie with half a dozen big race scenes. But they had all this money and the actors and the extras. Why not make a really good movie. One with memorable dialogue.

And Tokyo in the movie is a big, bright playground but it's not fun or interesting. There's no suspense but there could be plenty.

Why didn't they try to make another movie like The Godfather Part II? Watching this all I can think about is Kill Bill. That movie delivers all the perfect fight scenes anyone could want. But every other scene is fun to watch too. One of the best parts of the movie is the hospital scene with Darryl Hannah. Any movie would be lucky to have a scene like that. Why couldn't the makers of Tokyo Drift do something different and make a movie that surprises the audience?

Just because a movie is made for teenagers it doesn't mean it can't be good.

By the way, the movie would be nothing without Lucas Black. That Alabama accent is awesome.

"A pAAaaw?"
